Contractors working on post and families in town for a visit want the same few things: a level pad, dependable power, and a short drive in the morning. Camp Elim sits right off I-44 at Newburg, which makes it a practical RV park near Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Full hookups with 30/50 amp service, fresh gravel sites, and pull-throughs long enough for a big rig mean you can roll in after dark and still be set up in minutes.

Post is an easy run up the highway. Plenty of guests start at the Fort Leonard Wood Visitor Center, then give themselves unhurried time at the John B Mahaffey Museum Complex. Bloodland Lake is a good place to spend a slow morning, and the Outdoor Adventure Center is worth a stop when you're figuring out how to fill a free day. If you've brought the dog, FLW Paw Dog park is an easy detour. Farther out, Wonders Of Wildlife National Museum & Aquarium makes a full day trip.

Evenings back at camp feel different. The interstate is close enough to be convenient but far enough that nights stay quiet. Walk the trails, cast a line in the private pond, or park yourself in a pond view site and watch the light go. Check-in is friendly and simple, often handled right over the phone, and all ages are welcome, including big family groups traveling together.

EXCELLENT place to stay and good owners who care. High quality electricity and water as well as almost perfect level, fresh gravel. Price is reasonable and I will be staying there anytime Im working on the base in the future.

Good place to stop for the night. Close to the interstate but no so close as to be bothered by the noise. Quite and level sites. Campground was clean.

Super easy check-in, people were very friendly and went out of their way to make sure that all of your needs were taken care of. If you are in need of a camping spot in this area you should check them out.

Broke down on the exit with our 5th wheel. Found on Google easy to book in a hurry. Full hook up. Easy in and out the large tow truck that pulled our 42ft camper and truck got in easy. Right off high way, it's on our list for quick over night stops when we travel.
